Job summary

MSR-FSR is seeking a QA/QC – Mechanical professional to perform quality control inspections and document findings for mechanical systems in Phoenix, AZ. You will conduct walk-downs, verify installations meet design specifications, and coordinate with contractors and owners to resolve issues.

The role requires 5+ years of mechanical QA experience, familiarity with SMACNA, P&ID reading, and strong troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ Mechanical QA experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Data Centers, Semiconductor or industrial exp.
• Journeyman experience preferred
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for mechanical systems
• Read P&ID (Piping/Mechanical and Instrumentation Diagrams)
• Familiarity with SMACNA
• Computer skills: MS Office, Bluebeam, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Perform initial, follow up, and final system walk downs
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure procedures are met
• Inspect plumbing, HVAC, PVC, and PVDF systems to industry standards
• Inspect hydro-related systems and verify compliance with specs
• Plan and organize activities with stakeholders for construction projects
• Record and organize QA documentation and project reports
• Prepare QA documentation and reports required for the project
• Generate progress and quality reports for project teams
• Communicate with subcontractors, superintendents, office staff, engineering staff, consultants, and owner’s reps
• Represent the company in pre-construction, design, and project meetings
• Perform final QA inspections on installations
• Answer technical questions during project execution
• Review with system owner and provide verification of hardware and installation configurations
• Ensure equipment and overall system OAT/FAT processes meet expectations
