Job summary

Loenbro is seeking an experienced Project Quality Manager (Mechanical) to join the Midwest team in Ellendale, ND. This onsite role collaborates with engineering, construction, and fabrication to ensure quality objectives are met and procedures are followed.

The candidate will lead welding, inspection, and NDE activities, develop QA plans, and mentor inspectors. Strong piping knowledge and certification are required, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Mechanical construction experience with piping systems, structural steel, fabrication, and equipment installation.
• AWS CWI or ASNT VT II certification.
• Strong knowledge of NDT methods with ASNT-SNT-TC-1A training/hours.
• Experience generating turnover packages.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings.
• Knowledge of key industry codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, NACE).
• 5+ years of Quality Control Inspector experience.
• Experience working under a Quality Management Program.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
• High organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Weld Map Isometric drawings.
• Weld & piping inspections.
• Project turnover experience.
• Enter welding and inspection information into tracking tool.
• Assist with pressure testing plans.
• Review and file NDE/NDT reports.
• Work with NDE personnel for planning and execution of work.
• Assemble and review project documentation packages.
• Perform and document inspections based on drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance.
• Test welders and perform weld inspections.
• Review welding requirements and ensure welding procedures comply.
• Create and implement Project Quality Assurance Plans.
• Provide support and training to other inspectors.
• Write inspection and test plans (ITP’s).
• Commitment to Loenbro’s core values and safety policies.
• Plan and execute Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Reports.
