Job summary

Job description

Momentive Technologies applies advanced materials science to design and manufacture ultra‑high‑performance quartz materials, quartz crucibles, and ceramic products used in semiconductor, photovoltaic, and aerospace industries.

Senior Mechanical Process Engineer
Responsibilities
  • Lead all engineering efforts (quote, design, machining, inspection, coating).
  • Provide leadership and engineering expertise to the Operations and Maintenance teams in support of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Organizational goals.
  • Assist in sustaining stable operations and a Continuous Improvement culture through leadership, training, and collaboration with internal and external resources.
  • Lead identification, mitigation, and elimination of safety exposures.
  • Partner with Safety department to drive safety improvements and EHS compliance.
  • Establish, update, and maintain production drawings, procedures, control plans, and process/product data.
  • Develop SPC (Statistical Process Control) control charts, CTQ (Critical to Quality) call‑outs, process documentation, SOPs, and process inspection criteria and controls.
  • Act as knowledge and driver of LSS (Lean Six Sigma) methodology.
  • Assist in the development of new products and processes.
  • Drive CI (Continuous Improvement) in safety, product quality, product delivery, and product cost through plant data analysis and collaboration with CI, Operations, and Maintenance departments.
  • Reduce product lead time via Lean Manufacturing concepts on the production line and with hourly operators.
  • Partner with the Quality department and audit plant activities to ensure compliance while maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Interact with vendors for project implementation and proposals.
  • Facilitate problem‑solving (root cause analysis) with corrective action through collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and other support.
  • Collect and analyze process and production data to identify trends and ensure process stability.
  • Ensure quality through analysis of incoming raw materials, process reliability, in‑process testing, and final product certification.
  • Identify, administer, and execute capital projects.
  • Drive resolution of customer claims and reduce repeat claims to improve the total customer experience.
  • Provide leadership to ensure all teammates work safely and productively while improving processes and outcomes.
  • Partner with the organization to drive business success through process and equipment reliability and teamwork.
  • Drive variable cost productivity through process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical or Ceramic.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • LSS (Lean Six Sigma) quality experience (SPC, control charts, process controls and repeatability).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical expertise coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in Process Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated capital project management skills, including engagement and management of internal and external resources.
  • A track record of leading continuous improvement efforts with sustained outcomes.
  • Prior experience mentoring and coaching others with demonstrated management skills.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills that facilitate desired results and build cohesive teams.
  • Exhibits desire and courage to learn new skills and assume broader roles in the organization.
  • Energetic self‑starter with strong leadership skills.
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency that translates to the floor.
  • Deliver on commitments: proven track record of sustainable performance.
  • Proficient in project management and leadership, root‑cause analysis, statistical analysis and interpretation, design of experiments.
Compensation and Benefits

Earn variable compensation including annual base salary and annual bonus. Base salary considers experience, education, and training.
