Job summary

HDR is seeking a qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer in Glen Allen, VA, to help clients with natural gas and renewable energy projects. You will lead a project mechanical team, coordinating across disciplines, and managing technical and contractual aspects of projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in power generation and strong leadership skills. A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PE license are required, along with a commitment to teamwork and mentoring.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $108,661–$204,250 based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the fossil power industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project mechanical team and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design.
• Ensure construction draws and bid specifications are developed.
