Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Mechanical Pipe Stress Engineer to lead technical efforts on large power generation projects. You will drive complex analyses, mentor engineers, and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results for clients.

The role emphasizes engineering standards, risk management, and client engagement, with opportunities to influence project outcomes and contribute to BV’s leadership in the power sector.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
11+ years of progressive experience in mechanical pipe stress engineering on power generation projects.
Experience with CAESAR II and AutoPIPE; familiarity with ASME B31.1 and B31.3.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on department standards, guides, and codes.
Lead multi-discipline project execution and coordinate across teams.
Mentor staff and manage client engagement and quality programs.
Oversee budgets, schedules, and deliverables for mega projects.
