Job summary

CBL Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Design for Packaging team in the United States. You will be the SME for product and packaging design, driving design efficiencies and cost reductions across inbound logistics and automation.

The role requires 7+ years in mechanical design, packaging experience, and proficiency with CATIA or SolidWorks. You will collaborate across engineering and manufacturing to optimize part presentation and lineside packaging.

Qualifications

7+ years in mechanical design or related field with automated manufacturing experience.
Extensive packaging design knowledge and material handling equipment.
Proven ability to design components from concept through production validation.
Experience with prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

Create part packaging solutions optimized for automation and packing density.
Collaborate with Product Design and PFEP packaging input to optimize part design.
Establish best practices for automation packaging and lineside requirements.
Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to achieve end-to-end solutions.
Present and negotiate constraints backed by technical and financial analysis.
