Job summary

Kinder Morgan’s Southern Natural Gas facility in Louisiana seeks a Mechanic Specialist to maintain and overhaul compressors, engines, and related equipment. This position reports to a Crew Leader and requires great attention to safety and documentation. Overtime and after-hours availability are expected.

Candidates should have strong mechanical skills, blueprint reading ability, and the capability to operate forklifts and basic computer tools. A valid driver license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance of reciprocating/centrifugal compressor units preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and/or auxiliary equipment.
• Perform heavy mechanical maintenance and replacement of reciprocating and turbine engines and compressors.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and company procedures; respond to after-hours calls as needed.
