Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Novi, MI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer – Stress Lead. The role leads the Stress Team, performing advanced mechanical integrity, stress and lifing assessments using FEM and other modeling that support engine component design changes and verification.

You will mentor junior analysts, present analysis results to customers and cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of Stress Analysis experience.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of Stress Analysis experience.
• JD/Ph.D. in Engineering.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Preferred: 8+ years of hands-on stress and lifing analysis on gas turbine components.
• Ability to apply analytical thinking to complex technical problems.
• Knowledge of product integrity frameworks and certification standards.
• Membership in a relevant professional body.
• Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform advanced mechanical integrity, stress, and lifing assessments using FEM and other modeling techniques.
• Mentor and train junior analysts, providing technical guidance within the team.
• Conduct peer reviews of analysis projects ensuring high technical quality.
• Serve as primary contact for mechanical integrity matters with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Actively participate in the global engineering community and drive continuous improvement of tools and processes.
