Job summary

Nox Group seeks an experienced Mechanical Foreman to lead a crew installing process equipment and mechanical piping on industrial construction projects, including data centers, mining, and water treatment facilities.

You will supervise pipe fitters, welders, and helpers, read blueprints and P&IDs, enforce safety and quality standards, manage schedule and budget, and coordinate with field management to deliver on project specs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical piping and process equipment installation experience, with Foreman or Lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pipe fitting, fabrication, and process equipment installation, including rigging, leveling, alignment, and anchoring.
• Read blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
• Lead, direct, and motivate a crew while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity.
• Troubleshoot field issues and keep work progressing safely and efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with crew, management and other trades.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Physical stamina to perform and oversee demanding field work.

Responsibilities

• Crew Leadership: Supervise, direct, and coordinate daily activities of pipe fitters, welders, and helpers.
• Plan and Schedule Work: Interpret blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs and specs to plan sequence and manpower.
• Piping Installation: Oversee fitting, welding, grooving, flanging, threading and other methods to ensure alignment and tolerances.
• Equipment Installation & Startup: Coordinate equipment receiving, inspection, storage, setting, and rigging with crane operators and vendors.
• Quality Control: Inspect work for compliance; coordinate hydrostatic tests, flushing, and inspections.
• Safety Leadership: Enforce safety policies; conduct toolbox talks and pre-task planning.
• Manpower & Productivity: Track hours, productivity, and progress against schedule.
• Coordination: Communicate with foremen, superintendents, and trades to avoid conflicts.
