Job summary

ZAP Engineering & Construction Services, Inc. is hiring a General Superintendent to lead field execution of mechanical construction on oil & gas projects.

You own safety, productivity, quality, and schedule on the workface, directing craft supervision and field staff. You will coordinate underground piping, equipment setting, structural steel racks, and above-ground piping with welders and riggers, working with Construction Manager, Project Manager, engineering and client reps daily.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years mechanical/industrial construction with progressive field leadership.
• Experience running mechanical scope on oil & gas or heavy industrial projects (underground/above-ground piping, equipment dress-out, steel, welding/fit-up, pressure testing).
• Ability to develop craft superintendents, foremen, field admin, and QA/QC personnel.

Responsibilities

• Set safety standards and enforce HSE requirements on the field.
• Direct installation of underground piping and equipment setting.
• Oversee erection of structural steel racks and platforms; manage welding/fit-up.
• Drive above-ground piping installation with weld-fit crews; ensure productivity and material control.
• Manage pressure testing, sign-off, and reinstatement of piping to operation.
• Direct field labor, supervise craft superintendents and QA/QC; coordinate with PMs.
