Job summary
American Electric Power (AEP) seeks an entry-level Engineer/Engineering Technologist Associate to join our Oklahoma team. You will support project work under supervision, applying engineering principles to well-defined problems in a safe and economical manner.
Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited preferred), with FE/PE licensure encouraged. The compensation ranges from $74,551 to $128,688 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities
Qualifications
- Entry-level position for new graduates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in an ABET-accredited program.
- Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer is encouraged.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology can satisfy the degree requirement if a PE license is obtained.
Responsibilities
- Applies engineering knowledge to well-defined problems under supervision.
- Assists higher-level engineers with portions of analyses and solutions.
- Coordinates routine tasks and prepares cost estimates and planning documents.
- Assists in preparing reports and technical papers.
- Ensures work complies with standards, codes, and regulations.
