Job summary

AEP in Oklahoma is seeking an entry-level Engineer or Engineering Technologist Associate to support projects under supervision. You will apply engineering knowledge to well-defined problems, assist higher-level engineers, and learn standards and procedures while contributing to safe, efficient and economical outcomes.

Candidates should have ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree (or Engineering Technology with PE license) and are encouraged to pursue FE/PE licensure.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree required or in engineering technology with PE license considered
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam encouraged for future PE licensure
• Bachelor’s degree must be in engineering or engineering technology as applicable

Responsibilities

• Assist higher-level engineers with well-defined portions of projects under supervision
• Apply engineering knowledge to solve defined problems with oversight
• Learn and apply relevant standards, codes, and regulations
• Coordinate simple work activities and support scheduling and planning
• Prepare basic reports and technical documentation as required
• Communicate effectively with team and stakeholders
