Job summary

Americaribe, a Bouygues Construction subsidiary, seeks a Mechanical Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating for building projects in South Florida and beyond. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection work, manage bids, and coordinate with subcontractors across the US and Caribbean.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in Excel and estimation tools, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience performing the duties described above.
• Proficient in Excel, MS Word, Onscreen Takeoff and Bluebeam.
• Fluent in English and able to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preconstruction and estimating for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection packages.
• Prepare detailed estimates for large, complex building projects.
• Manage the mechanical estimating package from drawings to GMP.
• Prepare bid packages with detailed scope and cost.
• Identify and liaise with subcontractors and vendors.
• Issue RFIs and analyze subcontractor proposals.
• Support budget/GMP presentations to owners.
