Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to lead mechanical estimating on large, complex projects, directing preconstruction strategy and bid development. You will mentor team members, review drawings and specs, and ensure competitive, accurate estimates that drive project success.

Role requires leadership in estimating, collaboration with project teams, and strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping cost control. Travel to regional offices and client meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of estimating/engineering experience.
• Significant mechanical estimating experience in commercial/industrial delivery.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical estimating for complex projects and coordinate multi-discipline efforts.
• Develop bid strategy, pursue opportunities, and support design-build/CM proposals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor estimating team members.
• Review drawings and specs to define scope, takeoffs and pricing.
• Prepare estimate backups, contingencies, and value engineering opportunities.
