Job description

Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Practice Builder with 12+ years of experience to join Kimley-Horn of DC! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
  • The qualified individual will lead and expand a MEP team and practice while building and managing relationships with key clients.
  • Requires the ability to oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients.
  • Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities
  • Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team
  • Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of related experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability

Base Salary Range:

  • $160,000 - $200,000
  • Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation
