Jacobs in Chicago seeks a lead mechanical engineer to act as the technical authority on complex building design and renovation projects across sectors, guiding the engineering approach and ensuring design integrity.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver HVAC and central utility systems, provide strategic design direction, and advise clients to align outcomes with cost, schedule, and performance goals.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) registration with at least 15 years of progressive experience in building systems.
Must have a proven track record of leading large, complex projects and managing technical teams within engineering consulting.
