Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Department Manager for our Buildings Engineering Services team in Seattle, WA. You will lead mechanical engineering design efforts for municipal, commercial, higher education, and public works projects, focusing on high performance, energy-efficient building solutions.

This role requires a PE license (New York with reciprocity to other states) and a track record of leading large teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years in mechanical engineering design fields required.
• PE license in New York with reciprocity to other states required.
• Demonstrated leadership across large groups of employees.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
• Establishes long-range objectives, goals, and plans for the team.
• Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
• Develops marketing program aligned with discipline goals.
• Advises professionals in other groups when expertise is needed.
• Manages project profitability and labor hour utilization.
• Assigns projects and schedules work.
