Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Boston, MA seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design improvements, validation strategy, and sustaining engineering for flagship wearable products at scale.

You will own subsystems, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to deliver high-impact product improvements driven by customer feedback and evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in design, improvement, and sustaining of complex mechanical products.
• SolidWorks CAD experience with best practices in part design, tolerances, and DFx/DfM feedback.
• 3+ years directing engineering changes with contract manufacturers and sustaining production in multiple regions.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical subsystems and components from concept through mass production.
• Lead design, analysis, and development of mechanical solutions to improve performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Drive engineering changes with vendors/contract manufacturers and ensure integration into production.
