Dematic is seeking an Expert Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Global Project Engineering team. The ideal candidate will design and integrate hardware and software in sophisticated systems while building strong relationships with customers.

The role requires 10+ years in mechanical engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling, and experience in material handling. Travel up to 25% and leadership of multi-project initiatives are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of related experience in mechanical engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modeling.
• Experience in Material Handling/automation industry.
• Project-based mechanical design to installation experience.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete the design of sophisticated systems that integrate hardware and software.
• Prepare material specifications, layouts/drawings, and follow-up.
• Recommend productivity improvements, cost reductions, and customer satisfaction enhancements.
• Perform complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for processes and product application.
• Identify and resolve complex problems using strong problem-solving skills.
• Project engineering and commissioning at customer sites.
• Communicate, train, and collaborate with customers for final system design.
• Travel up to 25% to different customer and Dematic locations.
