Job summary

Dematic is seeking multiple Senior Mechanical Engineers to join our Global Project Engineering team. The team performs engineering assignments with clear objectives on multi-discipline project teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and 8+ years of related experience, with proficiency in 3D modeling and AutoCAD. Candidates should have experience in material handling/automation and strong communication skills, capable of leading several projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in related field; advanced degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficient in 3D modeling software and AutoCAD.
• Experience in Material Handling/automation industry.
• Experience in a Mechanical Engineering position that is project-based (design to installation).
• Strong communication skills/presentation skills.
• Ability to effectively delegate.
• Understanding of project schedule and budget for Mechanical Engineering functions.
• Able to lead multiple small or mid-sized projects.

Responsibilities

• Complete the design of sophisticated systems that integrate hardware and software
• Complete sophisticated material specification, layout/drawing preparation, and appropriate follow-up
• Complete recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction
• Perform complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design
• Identify and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations
• Project Engineering and Commissioning at customer sites
• Communicate, train, and work with customer for final system design
• Travels up to 25% to different customer locations/Dematic locations
