Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical design and development.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting complex mechanical products.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanisms, structures, materials, tolerancing, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop a system-level understanding of the Stride product and its interactions with controls and electrical hardware.
• Own complex mechanical projects from problem definition through design, prototyping, validation, and production support.
• Lead investigations into reliability and performance using root-cause analysis and test data.
• Identify recurring problems and implement durable solutions addressing underlying causes.
• Evaluate changes for impact on reliability, safety, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability.
• Support adapting the Stride platform for new customers and environments.
• Provide technical direction for mechanical projects and cross-functional collaboration.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, test plans and change orders.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, controls, electrical engineering, installation, service, and product management.
