Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Sustaining in Edinboro, PA. You will support ongoing sustaining activities, resolve issues, and drive design updates to improve product robustness.

You will develop CAD models in Autodesk Inventor and support with Creo, manage ECOs, and coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to ensure effective changes. Strong problem-solving and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 8-12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in sustaining/product development/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling; Autodesk Inventor required, Creo preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a production environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support released products through sustaining activities: issue resolution, design updates, and improvements.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing, quality, and field issues using root-cause analysis.
• Develop and release updated 3D models, drawings, and docs using Inventor; Creo for secondary support.
• Create, review, and execute ECOs to address corrections and cost reductions.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, quality, and operations to implement changes.
