Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in steelmaking or heavy industry.
• Experience with melting equipment, furnaces, or steelmaking operations is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical equipment, hydraulics, material handling, and plant systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, improve, and optimize mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Lead reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support melting and steelmaking equipment upgrades and installations.
• Provide engineering for large baghouse and environmental systems.
• Lead projects from concept to completion.
• Develop project scopes, specifications, bid packages, costs, and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Travel locally and internationally as needed.
