Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design flight hardware for space-based interceptors, kill vehicles, and hypersonic flight systems. You will craft robust mechanical structures able to endure extreme thermal and dynamic conditions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4-8 years in mechanical design, preferably in space or defense.
• Experience with 3D CAD NX/SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with GD&T and high-dynamic-pressure flight environments.
• Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical structures for interceptor systems.
• Assist development of flight vehicle structural systems from concept to hardware delivery.
• Design primary/secondary airframe structures for high-dynamic-pressure and thermal environments.
• Package GN&C hardware, seeker assemblies, and sensor systems within structures.
• Assist in TPS components and high-temperature structural assemblies.
• Support propulsion system mechanical integration, including DACS and TVC interfaces.
• Develop 3D CAD models/drawings for flight vehicle components using NX/SolidWorks.
• Create GD&T drawings and participate in design reviews (PDR/CDR/TRR).
• Develop structural/environmental test plans for hardware qualification.
• Maintain design integrity in CM/PLM systems and traceability.
