Job summary

The Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and analysis of solid rocket motor components, including cases, nozzles, propellant grains, igniters, and safety components. You will apply CAD/FEA tools, GD&T, and coordinate with cross-functional groups at Anduril sites and suppliers.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, facilitating design reviews, generating drawings, and supporting prototyping, manufacturing, and testing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Experience with CAD and/or FEA software.
• Strong GD&T and hardware manufacturability understanding.
• Willingness to travel 10-25% and obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to design engineers.
• Perform CAD design activities of mechanical components.
• Perform finite element analysis of structural and thermal systems.
• Generate, review, and release engineering drawings.
• Create reports documenting analyses and supporting work.
• Present to peers and customers in design reviews.
• Support prototyping, manufacturing, and test operations onsite.
• Own the development of critical systems from cradle to grave.
