Job summary

Kalogon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Melbourne, FL to expand product lines and adapt seating technology for new customers. You will design moldable assemblies, produce 3D models, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, integrated solutions for electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities include design validation, DFM for injection molding, and collaboration with product and hardware teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 4 years of professional mechanical engineering experience with at least 2 full product development cycles
• Proven track record of successfully completing complex engineering projects from concept to production
• Familiarity with connected devices controlled by software

Responsibilities

• Designing injection moldable assemblies and supporting the production handoff
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings using Onshape
• Focus on electromechanical assembly design and collaborate with electronics designer and product to find integrated solutions
• Develop and maintain design documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and assembly instructions
• Translate product design requirements into mechanical designs meeting customer needs
• Work with Engineering Manager on prototyping and volume production processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the business
