Job summary
Sargent & Lundy Consulting (SLC) seeks a senior mechanical engineer for a remote US-based role to support electric power projects. You will perform technical evaluations and contribute to design reviews for project development and owner’s engineering services.
The ideal candidate holds a BSME from an ABET-accredited program with 10+ years in the electric power industry, including experience in simple cycle gas turbines, combined cycles, coal-fired generation, steam systems, or RICE.
Qualifications
- BSME in mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
- 10+ years of experience in the electric power industry.
- Experience in detailed mechanical design of conventional power projects.
- Experience with simple cycle gas turbines, combined cycle, coal-fired/generation, steam systems, or RICE.
- Excellent technical communication and writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide development support and owner's engineer services.
- Perform technical evaluations of electric power projects.
- Support project economic and cost analysis, risk assessments and contracts.
- Engineering design reviews and due diligence.
- Conceptual design responsibilities.
- Travel within the United States and internationally.
