Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 5–7 years in a R&D environment.
• Experience prototyping, testing, and evaluation of concepts.
• Ability to integrate multidisciplinary elements into prototypes for evaluation and validation.
• Root cause analysis methodology.
• Extensive experience with 3D modelling (Unigraphics / SolidWorks / or Equivalent Tools).
• PDM and change process experience.
• GD&T knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and develop concepts to meet customer requirements.
• Prototype and evaluate concepts rapidly, identify risks early, and develop targeted test plans.
• Communicate status, results, and conclusions with clear next steps.
• Integrate mechanical, electronics, controls, and coding into prototypes for rapid iterations.
• Lead design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Work with project/product leads on ideation and risk retirement strategies.
• Develop product designs in collaboration with engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Document mechanical design including BOM, drawings, and procedures.
• Propose and conduct simulations where relevant.
