Job summary

U.S. Fusion Energy in Illinois seeks an experienced engineer to own hardware designs for fusion generator prototypes, focusing on both high- and low-voltage architectures for pulsed power capacitor banks.

You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to optimize subsystem designs for high-volume manufacturing and perform complex engineering analyses to ensure reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 7+ years of full-scope engineering project delivery.
• Proficiency in CAD software (NX, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (ANSYS, COMSOL).
• Strong grasp of engineering physics and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware designs for fusion generator prototypes, focusing on high- and low-voltage architectures for pulsed power capacitor banks.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to optimize subsystem designs for manufacturability and reliability.
• Perform complex engineering analyses to support design decisions and production ramp-up.
