Job summary

LeoForce in Richardson, TX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and test mechanical components, machinery, and systems, applying solid engineering principles to real-world applications.

You will lead design documentation with AutoCAD 3D, collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee production processes, analyze data, and provide expert input to project teams while staying current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in sheet metal fabrication or electrical products.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and electrical design.
• Experience with mechanical design and project management.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret specifications, drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented with ability to collaborate across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Applying engineering principles to design products.
• Conducting product testing and creating models and prototypes.
• Overseeing the manufacturing process for the machinery.
• Preparing product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Providing technical advice to the project team on design and production challenges.
• Participating in meetings, providing input on mechanical strategies.
• Maintaining current knowledge of best practices and production standards.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and vendors.
• Developing design documentation using AutoCAD 3D and other software.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within sheet metal fabrication and/or electrical products

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Ability to interpret specifications, technical drawings, and blueprints

Team collaboration and cross-functional teamwork
