Job summary

Exentec Abatement seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to lead development and delivery of advanced semiconductor gas abatement systems. You will guide design, validation, and optimization across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.

Responsibilities include project leadership, mentorship, NPI support, and driving manufacturing documentation while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering required.
• 10+ years in mechanical engineering, product development or industrial systems.
• Proven track record leading complex projects from concept to production.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, resource planning and risk management.
• Expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and materials.
• Experience designing and integrating mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control components.
• Proficient with CAD; SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering projects from concept through commercialization, meeting scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety goals.
• Guide design, integration, validation, and continuous improvement of wet scrubbing, thermal destruction, and related process technologies.
• Lead cross-functional teams and align solutions with customer requirements and business objectives.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
• Advance the product roadmap through collaboration with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and service teams.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical, schedule, and resource challenges to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Serviceability (DFS), and continuous improvement initiatives.
