Job summary

A leading staffing solutions provider is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer in Waynesboro, GA to support engineering projects. This role involves leading mechanical design activities for new construction and retrofit projects, including pipe sizing and material selection. Candidates should have significant experience in mechanical engineering design principles and a strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Qualifications

• Significant experience with design of new construction and/or retrofit of power generation or heavy industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles and applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience developing, preparing, and checking P&IDs.
• Proficiency in design and layout of piping systems, pipe sizing, and routing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical design activities including pipe sizing and routing.
• Select materials, design pipe supports, and develop equipment specifications.
• Lead detailed design activities for projects.
• Assist in checkout and startup of systems.
