Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical (Plumbing) Engineer to lead plumbing design for advanced facilities. The role is geographically flexible in the US with 10‑20% travel, offering on-site startup support and coordination with multi‑disciplinary teams.

You will act as SME for plumbing systems, guiding projects with IPC and national/international standards. Mentoring junior staff and ensuring technical quality are key responsibilities in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PE license.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering and plumbing design in complex facilities.
• Extensive on-site field experience with industrial plumbing installations.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and IPC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduling and ensure technical quality on complex projects.
• Serve as SME for plumbing systems within the Mechanical discipline.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with design professionals.
• Support startup on-site and coordinate with discipline leads.
