Job summary

KLJ is seeking an experienced engineer to enhance technical skills while supporting the preparation of pipeline design deliverables under mentorship from senior engineers. The candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment.

The role involves client proposals, project scheduling, and interactions with regulatory agencies, project management, and designers to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 5–10+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to balance multiple fast-paced projects through effective communication and prioritization.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client proposals, project schedules, and client communications.
• Possess potential to serve as project engineer and grow into project management with experience.
• Interact with regulatory agencies, project management, and designers to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, contractors, vendors to develop cost-effective pipeline designs and low-maintenance solutions.
• Develop engineering calculations, pipeline modeling, and both simple and complex problem solving.
• Mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, structural, environmental/cultural, survey, and electrical teams for integrated design solutions.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology from ABET accredited school
