Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Strong mechanical aptitude across various mechanical systems.
• 5–10 years of prior professional experience.
• Exposure to Metals, Midstream Oil & Gas, Refineries & Petrochemical and/or Utilities & Power Generation industries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Review proposals, act as Orbital representative at bid walkdowns, and prepare manhour estimates and proposals.
• Evaluate and develop piping specifications and equipment designs for heavy industrial applications.
• Perform pipe stress analysis and hydraulic analysis.
• Prepare equipment specifications and scopes of work and provide procurement and construction support.
• Complete all tasks in accordance with design and project execution procedures and guidelines.
• Provide technical support for customers and support regional business development initiatives.
• Review calculations, drawings, and reports produced by other engineers.
• Manage progress of projects relative to plans, schedules and budgets.
• Contribute to company improvements in workflow and standards.
• Establish project design bases through industry codes & standards.
• Supervise work of others, at times as project manager/technical consultant.
