Job summary

LeoForce seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) to lead design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for diverse projects from concept through construction. You will develop construction documents, studies, and cost estimates, while coordinating with clients, architects, and regulators.

You will review submittals, support field activities, and mentor junior engineers, ensuring compliance with California requirements and project schedules.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or related field.
• P.E. license in California or reciprocal state.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Experience with mechanical design for Public Works, State Agencies, and/or municipal authorities.
• AutoCAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for various sectors from concept to construction.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and regulatory agencies to develop construction documents.
• Prepare technical studies and cost estimates and provide engineering support throughout construction.
• Review submittals and resolve field issues to ensure project quality and compliance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers as needed.

Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 per year

As a senior mechanical engineer on our team, you are responsible for designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and government projects from concept through construction. This role collaborates with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to develop construction documents, prepare technical studies and cost estimates, and provide engineering support throughout the construction process, including reviewing submittals and resolving field issues.

MUST HAVE

• BS in mechanical engineering or a related field
• P.E. License in California or a reciprocal state
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience in commercial or industrial settings
• Experience with mechanical design for Public Works, State Agencies, and/or municipal authorities.
• AutoCAD

NICE TO HAVE

• HCAI/OSHPD experience is highly preferred
• Healthcare projects experience
• Experience with the Office of the State Fire Marshall (OSFM) or Division of the State Architect (DSA)
• Revit
