Job summary

Hologic, Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive new product development from concept to production with strong technical judgment and customer-centric design.

The role emphasizes leadership of mechanical workstreams, architecture, interfaces, and risk management to deliver robust medical devices. The position requires extensive experience in mechanical design, DFx, and collaboration with electrical, EMC, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering with R&D experience in medical devices
• 8–10 years in health/business sectors with a Bachelor's degree
• 6–8 years with a Master's degree
• Strong problem solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for NPD mechanical workstreams with accountability for quality, cost, schedule and milestones
• Lead mechanical development from concept through design transfer and product launch
• Coordinate design with cross-functional teams including electrical, EMC, and quality
• Lead design-for-manufacturing and production-readiness activities and supplier engagement
