Job summary

Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Engineer to perform moderately complex technical functions, including engineering evaluations, analyses, and decisions for repair parts within the Repair Part Engineering team of Fleet Support.

You will liaise with NAVSUP and other stakeholders to ensure fleet readiness and supply chain efficiency. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least four years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
• Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance applicants.

Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, prioritization, and team assignment of LARs related to PQDRs, ERSRs and NAVSUP technical requests.
• Gather and analyze technical and logistics data to support dispositions.
• Evaluate NAVSUP supplier and shipyard documentation to address reported deficiencies and technical requests.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and procedures to verify supplier/part compliance with contract and design requirements.
• Coordinate technical reviews and concurrence requests with stakeholders; provide timely feedback.
