JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
  • Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
  • Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates based on program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating systems.
  • Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis for select projects.
  • Learns to develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work for the bid process.
  • Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection process.
  • Assists in developing sequencing requirements of systems to meet schedule requirements.
  • Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues and assist in constructability reviews.
  • Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met.
  • Assists with shop drawing/submittal processes to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Supports the commissioning process, including developing checklists and testing procedures.
  • Promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, understanding JE Dunn's non-discrimination policies.
Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core
  • Performs increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field activities.
  • Develops and reviews estimates, systems analysis, and value engineering suggestions.
  • Coordinates scopes of work during bidding and develops sequencing and scheduling inputs.
  • Reviews design documents for quality issues and develops quality control programs.
  • Develops and verifies functional testing procedures and documentation.
  • Creates and approves tools, solutions, and commissioning plans.
  • Mentors less experienced team members and promotes diversity and inclusion.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Accurate and timely work performance.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction management methods.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering, or related field (Required).
  • Equivalent relevant experience considered.
Experience
  • 5+ years of construction and/or engineering experience (Preferred).
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
