JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of this team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside diverse industry professionals.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
  • Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
  • Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated systems based on program and schematic design information.
  • Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis for projects.
  • Learns to develop scopes of work for mechanical and electrical systems for bidding.
  • Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection processes.
  • Supports developing sequencing requirements and solutions to meet project schedules.
  • Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues and assist in constructability reviews.
  • Performs job inspections to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Assists with shop drawing/submittal processes to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Supports the commissioning process, including developing checklists and testing procedures.
  • Promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, understanding JE Dunn's non-discrimination policies.
Additional Core Responsibilities
  • Performs more complex mechanical, electrical, and construction activities.
  • Develops and reviews estimates, recommends system choices, and provides value engineering suggestions.
  • Coordinates scopes of work during bidding and develops scheduling inputs.
  • Identifies quality issues, develops quality control programs, and reviews design documents.
  • Develops and verifies functional testing and commissioning documentation.
  • Mentors less experienced team members and creates tools for process improvement.

  • Ability to perform work accurately and timely.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and understanding plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction management methods.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or related fields required; relevant experience considered as an alternative.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of construction or engineering experience preferred.
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
