Job summary

Artheon in New Jersey seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead MEP and infrastructure projects. You will design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver code-compliant, cost-effective solutions.

The role emphasizes project leadership, field support, and a hands-on approach from concept through closeout, with clear opportunities for professional growth within Tech Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• New Jersey Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong experience designing HVAC systems.
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Working knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, and applicable building codes.
• Experience providing construction administration and field engineering support.
• Experience with plumbing and fire protection system design.
• Experience working on municipal, institutional, educational, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for a wide range of projects.
• Manage multiple mechanical engineering projects at various design/construction stages.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, architectural, and structural professionals and with clients and contractors.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation; conduct site visits and field assessments.
• Provide technical mentorship and support quality control and design reviews.
