Job summary

Adecco in Stoughton, MA seeks a senior mechanical engineer to lead design of medical and rehabilitation devices. You will develop SolidWorks models, build prototypes, and troubleshoot hands-on while coordinating with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of product design experience, and strong problem-solving with independent judgment. ISO 13485 exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience designing and commercializing physical products.
• Highly proficient in SolidWorks and hands-on prototyping.
• Experience taking products from design through prototype and production.
• Strong problem-solving and independent-work capability.
• Comfortable collaborating with manufacturing teams and suppliers.
• Medical device experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of medical and rehabilitation products.
• Create SolidWorks designs and 3D models; develop prototypes and troubleshoot hands-on.
• Design and work with mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation in ISO 13485 environments.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and suppliers.
• Take ownership of projects from concept through production and delivery.
