Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the Product Engineering team and lead the design of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical subsystems for next-generation medical devices.

You will drive development from concept through production release, perform critical analyses, and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment. Base pay reflects senior level responsibilities in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of product design and development experience.
• Experience in FDA-regulated environments.
• Advanced proficiency with NX or comparable 3D CAD software.
• Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
• Strong GD&T, FMEA, DFMA, and manufacturing knowledge.
• Strong electromechanical design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex mechanical and electro‑mechanical subsystems.
• Drive product development activities from concept, prototyping, verification, validation, and production release.
• Perform engineering analysis, tolerance stack‑ups, and design reviews.
• Create and approve engineering drawings utilizing GD&T best practices.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Partner with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and service teams.
• Execute verification testing and document results for regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor junior engineers.
