Job summary

Ramboll seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer in Charlotte, NC to lead HVAC-focused design across industrial facilities. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive drawings and innovative solutions in a collaborative environment.

You will contribute to energy assessments, ECM analyses, and building envelope modeling while leveraging Revit for design and documentation. Travel and site visits may be required as part of project execution.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or higher; PE license
• 10+ years of HVAC engineering and design experience
• Knowledge of IFC, NFPA, FM Global fire protection requirements
• Willingness to travel <10%
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Autodesk Revit preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design work focused on HVAC for industrial facilities
• Coordinate with other disciplines to produce final construction drawings
• Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates for early project stages
• Conduct energy assessments to identify energy and cost savings measures
• Model building envelopes to assess heat gains/losses and ECM savings
• Specify mechanical equipment and plumbing systems
• Visit job sites for upfits; travel may be required
