Job summary

The candidate will develop master plans, conduct feasibility studies, ensure code compliance, and contribute to technical papers while mentoring junior engineers. A bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience are required, with EIT/FE within 18 months and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Technology or related discipline.
• Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within 18 months of hire.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency contingent on duties.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems, including master planning, feasibility studies, and mechanical systems with sustainability and energy efficiency goals.
• Review designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and firm policies.
• Perform site reviews to align designs with location specifics and requirements.
• Develop technical papers and design documentation for publication and knowledge sharing.
• Attend conferences and collaborate with sales to expand outreach and engagement.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise project work as needed to support leadership development.
• Perform other duties as required.
