Job summary

Tharp Consulting is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for high‑performance buildings. You will perform load calculations, develop coordinated MEP designs in Revit, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate systems across healthcare, education, commercial, and government projects.

You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture while supporting client coordination throughout the design

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in mechanical building systems, especially HVAC and plumbing.
• Proficiency in load calculations and coordinated MEP design.
• Hands-on experience with Revit and related tools.
• Excellent cross-discipline coordination, communication, and client collaboration skills.
• Leadership ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for high-performance, sustainable buildings.
• Perform HVAC/plumbing load calculations and apply engineering best practices.
• Create coordinated mechanical designs using Revit and related design tools.
