Job summary

Nortek Air Solutions is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the conceptualization, design, and development of new HVAC products. You will drive from concept through production, applying advanced simulations and validation to ensure performance and manufacturability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, review technical drawings, and stay ahead of industry trends to deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions. Occasional North America travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design and development experience.
• Experience with simulation/validation tools (FEA, CFD).
• Strong mechanical system design in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with engineering 3D CAD software.
• Ability to review and approve technical drawings and calculations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct design simulations, prototyping, testing, analyses, and team reviews.
• Drive new product development initiatives from concept through production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into design solutions.
• Apply technical expertise to optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost.
• Stay current on industry trends and drive continuous improvement in processes.
• Review and approve technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Occasional travel within North America (up to 1–2 times per year).
