Job summary

Eridu AI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in system chassis and enclosure design to lead the mechanical architecture of high-performance computing hardware. You will design sheet-metal chassis for rack-mounted systems, including structural frames, board mounting, cooling integration, and manufacturable assemblies, collaborating with electrical, thermal, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience designing mechanical systems for electronics hardware.
• Hands-on experience designing sheet-metal chassis and enclosures for rack-mounted systems.
• Experience taking chassis or enclosure designs from concept through production.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NX.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical architecture and design of rack-mounted computing systems.
• Design manufacturable sheet-metal components and assemblies with bending and stamping features.
• Integrate cooling hardware including cold plates, manifolds, liquid cooling, and airflow ducting.
• Drive DFM throughout the design cycle and collaborate with suppliers/ ODMs.
• Support prototype builds, EVT/DVT validation, and production ramp.
• Collaborate with electrical, thermal, manufacturing, supply chain teams and partners.
