Mainspring Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead frame and air spring subsystem design for our Linear Generator technology. You will drive alignment, durability, and performance under high loads while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Controls, Manufacturing and Suppliers.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, testing, and documentation, with mentorship for junior engineers and ongoing process improvements to advance our clean energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 6+ years of professional mechanical design experience.
• Led products through 2+ design lifecycles to manufacturing.
• Strong 3D CAD modelling and GD&T skills.
• Experience with high-load and high-cycle environments.
• Proficient with engineering analysis tools (FEA/CFD).

Responsibilities

• Lead frame and air spring subsystem projects from concept to manufacturing.
• Ensure tight frame alignment and high-load durability.
• Collaborate with Controls, Manufacturing, and Suppliers for seamless integration.
• Plan and execute rigorous verification and validation testing.
• Mentor juniors and drive engineering process improvements.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and reliability enhancements.
