Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer with strong fluid dynamics expertise to design and optimize fluid-handling systems. You will perform CFD simulations, select materials for challenging pressure and temperature conditions, and develop complete documentation including P&IDs and BOMs.

Ideally, you bring 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, proficiency in ANSYS Fluent/OpenFOAM, and solid CAD skills (Inventor/SolidWorks).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and systems engineering with emphasis on fluid dynamics.
Experience with CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent or OpenFOAM.
Proficiency with 3D CAD tools like Inventor or SolidWorks.
Solid understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
Experience in pump selection, valve sizing, and piping system design.

Responsibilities

Design mechanical systems focusing on fluid flow, heat transfer, and pressure management.
Perform CFD simulations and analyses to optimize fluid behavior.
Select materials and components for fluid handling with pressure/temperature considerations.
Create and maintain P&IDs, schematics, and Bills of Materials.
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure producibility.
